To be honest.... I didn't want anyone to know that I would rather buy 100 packs of baseball cards then and new outfit! I didn't want people to think I was in need of therapy or anything like that.
Just recently I have been "cruising" the internet and have found many other sites of collectors and other cardboard addicts like me.
I don't know why I collected in silence for as long as I did! It's like the thought of searching for others, with this obsessive tendency, never even crossed my mind!
I've always claimed to be fairly intelligent, but sometimes I have no common sense.
As I started acquiring my collection, I didn't have any sort of plan. I didn't know what to look for in packs or what rookies were hot. I just started noticing which players name showed up the most and I started to alphabetize. Oh and by the way....that's how I play Fantasy Baseball on Facebook too. When it's time to trade players, I remember which cards are worth more and I figure that player must be pretty good. I'm currently ranked 1583 out of a total of 66,329 players online. But of course it's just Facebook and all just for shits and giggles anyway. Holla!
Most of my collection are pretty basic cards. I've got some "good" cards. (what I consider good I guess). I've logged thousands into an account on Beckett.com. Probably to keep some sort of inventory? I don't know.
I'm not obsessed with completing a set or looking for a "must have card" for my collection. I just enjoy hoarding....I mean....this "hobby" that I have started.
I've wanted to have photos of my-perfect-little alphabetized-boys-of-summer collection, without really understanding why. You'd think that my endless inventory list created on Beckett.com would be sufficient enough. Even with the pictures provided. Right? Well is wasn't. So I've decided to share them here and start with....
