Thanks to great people and free Rockies tickets......it was off to the Rox/D-Backs game last night. This was an unexpected invite from some girls at work. What's better then four women and some baseball? Okay....that didn't sound quite right did it?
Anyway the Rockies came out on top beating Arizona 13-4 and the 2-1 win tonight puts the Rockies 2 1/2 games behind the Padres and I1/2 games behind the Giants.
Here's some pictures from the game. By the way it was Disco Night at Coors Field. Great music and some groovy player profiles on the huge LED screen in center field.
Dexter "Disco-Inferno" Fowler
Carlos "Shake Your Groove Thing" Gonzalez
Troy "Ring My Bell" Tulowitzki
The above funk-a-delic picture of Tulo looks more like "Joe Dirt" then "Tony Manero". I don't think mullets were permitted on the dance floor, but Troy's been rockin' the mullet all season and growing bad hair for a good cause.
Todd Helton added to his career achievements too by hitting his 525th double and tied Ted Williams for 35th on the all-time list. When they announced this to the crowd, Todd tipped his hat to a roaring round of applause!
This is Todd at bat when he hit that double.
Cheers and GO ROCKIES!
Another free ticket from another patient at work, and off to the game again tomorrow. Stay tuned for more pictures and hopefully another Colorado win!
