Ambidextrous Pitcher Throws With Both Arms For Yankees

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) -- Ambidextrous pitcher Pat Venditte threw with both arms for the New York Yankees on Tuesday, giving up one run in 1 1-3 innings during a 9-6 split-squad loss to the Atlanta Braves.
Making his first appearance for the Yankees, Venditte took over for CC Sabathia with two outs in the fifth inning and tossed four warmup pitches with each hand. Venditte switched back and forth, depending on whether he was facing a righty or lefty, and gave up two hits and a walk.
The 24-year-old reliever, who uses a six-finger glove, pitched for two teams in Class A last season and went a combined 4-2 with 22 saves and a 1.87 ERA. He is scheduled to begin the season at Class A Tampa.

Topps Heritage 2010

So I'm at the brand new Target by my house yesterday getting a few much needed items. Once again, I can't leave without a quick look at the selection of new cardboard. There always seems to be mass confusion in that section of the store.  No organization either. Packs of Pokeman, Star Wars, Disney Pixar, and Harry Potter cards strung all over. Football cards.....I'm not interested. Nascar cards.....I'll pass.....thank you. But way in the back, on the lowest shelf.....2010 Topps Heritage baseball cards! I grabbed the first pack I saw and headed for the checkout stands. Not too bad for a $2.99 pack.

The first Evan Longoria in my collection!

"Forgive me Father for I have moved on. It has been 3 months since my last obsession"

That's usually how long I'll obsess on something before obsessing on something else. My life consists of three or four repeat obsessions. I think I spend more time with "My Baseball Card Collection Obsession" then the others.

My drawings don't seem to get as much "obsession time" as the cards do.
I like to draw old school tattoo inspired art from pictures I find.

skeleton key

Major League.....of course

If I could keep focused long enough to create original ideas, maybe I would give this more "obsession time". My "FrankenArt" gets the most "obsession time" of my drawing obsession. Even though they are still inspired by pictures I find and not my own idea.

It's really hard to try and explain the whole addiction/obsession with baseball cards "thing" to a non collector. From collecting the greatest players of the game

to collecting the new stars of the game

an obsession for baseball cards doesn't need to be explained between people who love collecting them.

I know that I'm not alone with my addiction/obsession. I wonder if they have a baseball card collector/addict 12 step program? But then again.....I don't think I want help.

Mickey Mantle X2

Michael Jordan One on One

"Let me just say, it's hard enough to hit a baseball over a fence without the added pressure I faced in the form of expectations both my own and the fans. I can't describe what a relief and thrill it was to finally get the first one out of the way. I still remember the pitch, a high fastball"

Rockies' Star Tulowitzki Armed With Better Sense of Priorities

Troy Tulowitizki spent the first 23 years of his life relentlessly pursuing a dream. He brooded over every failed at-bat, ached over every error. Every practice seemed worth it when he reached the major leagues in 2007, and promptly led the Rockies to the World Series. Then, with a single off-balance throw on April 29, 2008, in San Francisco, it was all gone.

Ken Griffey Jr. "The Kid" 12 Card Set

I'm not real sure how I ended up with this set of 12 Ken Griffey Jr. cards. I wonder if anyone who might be reading this post knows anything about them.
