A Taste of My $25 Deal

So there are a ton of cards to be sorted through and I can't wait! (I should really get a social life) anywoo.... here's some pictures of my score. I will be posting individual pictures too here soon.
I also ended up with a bunch of hockey, basketball and football cards. I really only collect baseball cards, so if anyone wants to work out a trade deal for them let me know. I'll even look for your favorite players if you want me to! What a deal...huh?

Some of the older cards are not in the best of shape.

Here's a few pics of the pogs my and son and I started to collect about 15 years ago.

He's 26 now.....you do the math for those who are curious on how old I might be. Actually I was 12 when I had him........long pause.......I'M ONLY KIDDING!!! (18) Just checking to see who's paying attention.

Here's a pile of hockey, basketball and football cards.

There's many more too!

SCORE!

I just acquired roughly 1500 baseball cards for $25! I haven't gone through them but it looks like they date from 1980 to 2003. I also found a box of pogs and other sports cards that my son had left with me when he moved. I guess mom is suppose to keep them safe for him to pick up again in the future? I'm sure they are cards I gave him anyways. Oh they will be safe alright! So watch for me to post about these goodies here soon!

Open Season On Pitcher's In Colorado

The Pirates are in town for a series with the Rockies. After a few weeks on the DL with a fractured wrist, Troy Tulowitzki is back in the line-up.

The Rockies have been in a slump since the All-Star break and Tulo's strength back at short stop and leadership qualities are needed right now especially with veteran Todd Helton also on the DL.

During batting practice yesterday, Rockies closer Huston Street was hit  hard by a line drive delivered from teammate Ian Stewart.

The ball hit Street in the pelvic area and apparently the pain was so intense that he passed out three or four times in route to a Denver hospital. Listed as day to day, Huston suffered an abdominal contusion and was released from the hospital before the game ended.

Today Ross Ohlendorf started for the Pirates and during the first inning he was hit in the head by a line drive from Troy Tulowitzki.

Ohlendorf was able to walk slowly off the field and into the dugout. No update on his condition as of the third inning.
Apparently it's not safe to be a pitcher from any MLB team in Colorado right now!

Cards on Cards in a Crinkly Wrapper

Kerry from Cards on Cards and Ted from Crinkly Wrappers were two of my most recent successful trades. The package from Cards on Cards arrived in this crinkly wrapper. Thanks US Postal Service!!

I'm pretty sure this didn't leave Kerry's house in this condition. The cards inside were untouched thanks to bubble wrap!
The package from Crinkly Wrappers arrived unharmed.
Here's a few pictures of what they both sent.

THANKS KERRY AND TED! I LOVE MY NEW CARDS!

Wicked Trades

I've got two trades on the way.....in the mail per say.....and I'm so excited I have to post about them NOW! I received an e-mail from Joe at The Priceless Pursuit after I did a post about my first box of 2010 A&G's. Of course I pulled a relic and was excited....but I really don't even know who Jeff Samardzija is let alone how to pronounce his name.  Sorry, I didn't mean to offend any Samardzija fans.
Joe offered a Helton Jersey in swap for this card. I had to check out his website, of course, and spotted this Tulo and asked for it instead.
No time wasted there! I put the relic in the mail and I'm just waiting for this!

Then when Wicked put up trade bait I spotted the Troy Tulowitzki Auto and thought I probably needed start begging! I looked over his guys and saw he collects Hanley and Uggla.....hum.
I offered a couple of cards, (by the way....one of those cards up for this trade is one of my favorite pulls EVER), and Wicked had no problem telling me the Tulo was all mine!
I'll let him do a write up about the trade to show his cards if he wants to. I'd hate to take away all his fun!
Thanks Joe and Wicked for helping my Tulowitzki collection grow! And also for not making me beg!!
Stay tuned for the post about my first Troy Tulowitzki autographed card ever!

What's Wrong With This?

So is this card a bad error card or is there a story behind it and I just don't know?

How do I find out if anyone reading this doesn't know either?

Some Stuff for $4.00 & Don't Roll Your Eyes at Me.....Fernando!
