Ebay Funny!

Welcome to Tulo's World!

What would it be like to be guaranteed $163 million dollars just before turning 26 years old? Just ask Troy Tulowitzki.

He is the new face of Denver sports and will most likely spend his entire baseball career as a Colorado Rockie. The Rockies are not done either. They are thinking about reworking the Ubaldo Jimenez deal after the 2011 season. He is signed through 2014. They also have Jorge Cantu, Jose Lopez, and Kevin Kouzmanoff on their list. Maybe we could see a winning team here in Denver!

Trade Night Scores and Ty Cobb Chrome

Oh yeah.......I got my first package of three cards from the Topps Wrapper Redemption Program. This one is pretty cool. Ty Cobb refractor.

I enjoy trade night! Mike is awesome and I've met some great collectors!

The Blake Street Bambino

Chris from The Beckett Blog has done a great job with showing us what we will probably never see.
Derek Jeter in anything other than a Yankees uniform.
It might be tough — but it’s not tough here as the curiosity got the best of Chris. Take a look.
Here's what it would look like if Jeter ever came to the Colorado Rockies:

But then Denver already has a star shortstop! HELLO!

I Hate When This Happens......and Welcome to My Collection Del Ennis!

I hate when this happens! I've done everything possible to try and jump start my cardboard obsession. I'm finding it difficult. This is how bad it is. Today on eBay......I bought a pair of SHOES......yes I said SHOES. I'm hoping that Saturday, which is 'Trade Night' at Mike's Stadium Sportscards, will give me back that MOJO thing that other collectors seem to not be able to find at times either. Mike will be cracking a case of 2010 Bowman Chrome and for $30.00 I am in for sure!
I did shop around at Dave and Adams Card World and found a hobby box of 2010 Topps National Chicle for a decent price. I got a bunch of SP's and these two cards.

Oh yeah......I found this cool site called The Sports Card Block on Yardsellr on facebook, (no i didn't spell yardsellr wrong) and I bought this old card for like $5.00. I don't really do vintage but I just thought this card was cool looking. Being an 'eye' person (ophthalmology is my profession) I was sort of diggin' the glasses. Besides I needed a cardboard fix of some kind!!!

Pretty Cool Group Break Going On RIGHT NOW in The Sandlot!

So what are you doing here? CHECK IT OUT!!!!
There will be some happy people for sure!

Salt River Fields at Talking Stick and Countdown to Spring Training

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community have partnered with the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks and are building "Salt River Fields at Talking Stick" which is the first Major League Baseball spring training facility to be built on Indian land in the nation.
Salt River Fields at Talking Stick will include an 11,000-seat capacity ballpark, a total of 12 practice fields and office buildings that will include Major and Minor League clubhouses, training facilities, and offices for each team.

The D-Backs and the Rockies have yet to release their spring training schedules but did announce ticket prices today.

Rockies Seven Free Agents

Baseball free agency has begun and the Colorado Rockies' seven free agents have hit the open market. Those seven players are pitchers Joe Beimel, Jorge De La Rosa, Octavio Dotel and Jeff Francis, infielders Jason Giambi and Melvin Mora and outfielder Jay Payton.
While the Rockies would like to sign Jorge De La Rosa to a new deal, DLR's reported desire for a five-year deal after Ted Lilly's three-year, $11 million per season contract has likely priced the Rockies out of his range. Jeff Francis and Melvin Mora remain good bets to rejoin the team, with the former competing for a spot at the back of the rotation and the latter entering a utility role but stalking Ian Stewart at third base.
Jason Giambi turns 40 soon and still wants to play, but it most likely will not be for the Colorado Rockies. Jay Payton received a call-up in September, but the Rockies have other, younger options such as Cole Garner to play a reserve role for the Rockies throughout the season. A minor league contract could be a possibility.
Reliever Joe Beimel has expressed a desire to return to the Rockies, but the emergence of Matt Reynolds and the rise of Rex Brothers could send Beimel elsewhere.
Let the whirlwind begin!

USA Baseball 18U......Who The Hell Are These Guys?

Remember the Stop Light Game? RED light....GREEN light. Oh the memories!! That's right up there with "Mother May I?" and "Kick The Can!" Well Freedom Card Board.com has given the Stop Light Game report on the 2010 Bowman Chrome 18U USA players. My boy Francisco has gotten the GREEN LIGHT!

And I quote........"If you’re looking for a true SS prospect, then it doesn’t get much better than Lindor. Great attitude, slick defense, surprising power, and great hit tool.  He shows how much he loves the game by playing with a permanent smile on his face and has some speed on the base paths, although not a burner.  It’s worth noting…he won the 2010 AFLAC Home Run Derby despite being the smallest guy competing.  A little undersized but still a top pick in 2011 draft."  GREEN LIGHT

Big Mac For Positive Feedback and The Night Owl Sends Frankie Mo!

Okay to list an item for sell on Ebay, one needs positive feedback. That's feedback from others saying that you're an A++++ seller or buyer, what ever the case. It seems most feedback is written A++++ or even more +++++'s I guess depending on how A++++ or A++++++++++ of a buyer or seller you are. Anyway, I decided to list my 1/1 SUPA REFRACTA  to see what sort of offers would come my way. Come one...........we're all curious right? Well I've had seven offers. That's all I will say about that.
But here's what I bought for some quick positive feedback.

I'm still waiting for my 1998 Donruss Gold Press Proof McGwire and this card.

Non the less, I'm an A++++++++++++++++ buyer now! And my McGwire collections continues to grow!

Big THANKS to Night Owl who, a few months ago, was my first!!! I'm talking trade fellas! He didn't do me wrong with more Rockies and this Frankie Mo auto.

Thanks again OWL! You'll always have a special place in my cardboard heart!

My New Obsession......Francisco Lindor

Here's some information I have found about Francisco Lindor since my 2010 Bowman Chrome hit.
Perfect Game USA has called him a top 2011 prospect.

Francisco Lindor, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound switch-hitting shortstop from Montverde (Fla.) Academy is exceptionally quick and fast. His smooth and fluid fielding actions permit him to make all plays required of a shortstop with ease and grace. Lindor’s throwing arm is strong and accurate, and he projects as a potential major league gold glove winner. He was the winner of the 2010 Aflac All-American Baseball Classic Home Run Derby at Petco Park in San Diego this past August.

During the game he tripled, singled and stole second base while showing great range as a shortstop. Lindor was also the subject of a recent Baseball America feature.
He has verbally committed to Florida State.

More Pictures of My 2010 Bowman Chrome Hit

I posted the super refractor auto I pulled yesterday on Beckett.com and got a few comments. I don't have any idea how much my card could possible be worth. Some are saying to hang on to it, one guy told me Francisco Lindor is a  premier caliber prospect. I even had a couple of trade offers. But like one guy said, "it's not often that someone pulls a 1/1 super refractor auto" so with that in mind, I think I'll hang on to it for now. If anyone reading this has any advice or info on the value of a card like this, comments are very much appreciated! In the meantime here are a few couple more pictures and some others I pulled from the box.

2010 Bowman Chrome Hit

Okay.....I've waiting for the 2010 Bowman Chrome boxes to come out and FINALLY got my hands on a hobby box tonight. I've also decided to never purchase cards from anyone else but Mike! I bought a box of 2010 Topps Chrome from Mike a couple of weeks ago and pulled a Jason Heyward Auto RC, a Jason Heyward Blue Refractor and a Jason Heyward RC. Plus a couple of Stephen Strasburg RC's. The Heyward's have since been traded for some Tulowitzki Autographed cards and I couldn't be happier. So when I received the email from Mike that the 2010 Bowman Chromes had arrived, I couldn't wait to get them.
I always seem to take a little longer opening my packs of cards then most. I can't talk and rip at the same time and talking seems to take over most of the time especially when I decide to open my cards at the shop. Besides Military Mike hooked up with me and bought a box too! You all know how it is...we have to check out each others cards and stuff. Right? Well each box has 1 auto.....which I got. ????Arodys Vizcaino???? pitcher for the Braves #BCP211 SS# 37/500. I also pulled a Justin Morneau Orange Refractor #85 SS# 24/25. I will have pictures posted tomorrow so you all can check them out. Then I pulled a Jason Heyward RC, imagine that, a Jose Iglesias Topp 100 Chrome SS# 157/999.  So far the cards look pretty good. They seem to be well centered and they do look really nice. There were a couple of cards with minor scratching and a couple with one very large scratch in exactly the same spot. Remember to check back tomorrow. I will have pictures. But this card I pulled made up for the few with defects!! I have no idea who the player is.......but it's an autographed super refractor and it's SS# 1/1!! So what do you all think?
